Too much information
I think my Mum was lucky when she brought her kids up because she wasn't faced everyday by the add on news items that relate to health."Don't take vitamins"....it could be fatal.. "don't give the child formula it could lead them to being obese".... what! "It's been proven that if you digest selenium the risk of bowel cancer diminishes", oh.... that's in mice.! Every day we get a health message or more exactly an unhealthy message. This is because advertisers now dwell on the guilt factor. If you don't buy a funeral plan what does that mean to your family? What it means is that you don't intend to die! And if you do then fuck the world anyway. Guilt Guilt Guilt. "Don't buy a membership to a footy club then you are guilty of letting the side down" Bullshit mostly it mean that the membership has no value as you can't attend games. Well if you feed the child formula because you don't have milk or get mastitis even though your tits are dripping with goodness then it DOESN'T matter providing the child is then brought up to eat a healthy diet of three meat meals a day and a good helping of vegetables with each meal. This means of course bubbles and squeak for breakfast, lovely!, a meat pie in mushy pea soup for lunch and a T bone with roast spuds pumpkin and broccoli for tea. All followed by a healthy drink of water until you are 18 when water is flavoured with a nice malt brew.
Anyway if i was any young parent my advice would be turn of the TV and radio and play Beethoven on the stereo or Jimmy Barnes if the kids are crying and bloody well RELAX.
Bloody TV. Bloody health advice. Bloody hell...l I' m off to watch the footy show.
