Graduating to Christmas

Before Christmas Nuran and I went to Adelaide to see Tony’s graduation ceremony at Adelaide University, he is now a bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Sciences. He tells me that means he can operate a calculator but I think it means more than that!

He traveled back with us for Christmas so we had Jim , who had arrived from Canberra earlier and who had stayed to look after the dogs and the house whilst we went to Adelaide and Tony as house guests.

Bill and John both had to work straight after Christmas so couldn’t make it this time and anyway both had been here for a while before Christmas.

The in laws were down from Adelaide and staying with Tara so we had a big Christmas feast with them at our place. We even had a bowl of Kava and there was lots of “Bula, Bula” and “Mata Mata” heard around the Kava bowl as it wasn’t a bad mix. Better than drinking beer all the time! .

And last night Jim even let off some fireworks to make the occasion more memorable.

Now today Tony has headed back to Adelaide and so have Shah and Maureen and co., so Christmas is over and the New Year will be here soon.

Does anyone want turkey sandwiches? As always there are heaps of food left over and that is what we shall have for tea tonight, turkey and prawns , rice and vegetables. It’s probably good that there are some leftovers for tea as Nuran is all cooked out and I don’t feel like cooking.

I have never eaten so much Filouri! Tony cooked some then Nuran cooked some. Never thought I would say that I have had enough Filouri. Must be Christmas.!
