New stuff

I was warned by someone who knew better that the new computer wouldn't work and he was right. But at last all functions are working and touch wood we shall have a long happy life together!
Of course now that's it working it was all worth it as it makes the other one look old and slow and we no longer have heaps of cables all over the place as the printer is connected by usb and the Internet connection will be wireless. Oh yes the usb wireless card from ebay didn't work but that is the first thing from ebay that didn't and it is on its way back to Hong Kong and I have been promised a new one in return. I have asked them to test it before sending!
Meanwhile an ether net cable connects the computer to the modem snaking its way through the house as I have installed the new setup on a desk in room recently vacated by Roxy.
Shame Roxy vacated but life has many twists and turns and lets hope both parties learn from their experiences, whatever that is and I don't!
Anyway the lack of a comfortable typing position has curtailed my blogging , that and the old and slow computer that didn't like modern programmes. But I am back!
So I sit here gazing at the blooming Camellia,camellia2 a sign of spring, watching the pine pollen float all over the place dusting everything with a yellow-green hue. This is the worst time of the year to wash a car as no sooner do you do it then its covered again and a shower turns it into a mottled mess. We are surrounded by Pines so it doesn't matter which way the wind blows but it also is a sign of spring and warmer weather on the way.
Spring means football finals and this year good old Geelong, the team that John wiped off, and I criticise relentlessly will play in them. We are keeping a lid on it as Geelong has lost the last five grand finals it got in and two other preliminary finals so it doesn't pay to get your hopes too high.
But this year I am hopeful! better keep a lid on it, don't want to get embarrassed again!
