Rain delay
After waiting for Wimbledon to be televised, indeed START, owing to the rain it was an early night for us when the whole shooting match, well tennis match, was called off. Disappointing as we were hoping to see Wayne Arthurs serve and volley his way to another round, playing tennis the way it used to be played. In the meantime we saw the Wallabies beat New Zealand for the first time in 9 attempts and in a well refereed game where deliberate slow downs in play were penalised it was a free flowing game to watch. Bit different to the South African game which was a bump and grind like two hippos mating under water, most of the action goes unseen!
I missed the live telecast of the Geelong game against Sydney yesterday as I had to finish off replacing the timber fascia along the back walkway.before OUR predicted rain arrived. And I must say arrive it has , the dogs are moping in their yard instead of gambolling freely through the Pines, as it is pouring down and here I am writing a Blog. They can't complain as we made it to Nangwarry yesterday morning, and back obviously, herding Kangaroos like sheep as we returned down the Power Line break. The 'roos are getting used to us as they stay defiantly immobile, majestic on their hind legs for a lot longer than they used to and only break for the shelter of the Pines if one of the dogs deviates towards them. I have to keep reinforcing the "Dont Chase Roos" message as we progress as the need to get up a Kangaroos arse takes over from the good sense the dogs normally display, but it is good fun and exercise for everything and everyone involved.
The main computer has joined the list of things that are saved for parts as the power supply and motherboard are both burned out. Still it seems, according to Tony, that for not very much of Grannys money I can buy a new and faster one so perhaps all is well that ends well. That's if Grannys money is ever reluctantly distributed by the estate executor. I cant believe how much we paid for the computer 6 years ago and how little for a better one we shall pay this time! Someone was ripping people off when the computer craze started and now everyone has one they are dropping like mobile phone re-sale values. Talking about which how come there is always a newer and better model of them coming out but always as dear as a prostitutes kiss? Like the kiss it sucks.
Oh well had better go on the ride before the Geelong replay comes on. There is a light in the sky, I think it's called the sun.........
